Deloitte private cloud solution targets faster VMware vCloud deployment

Fri 2 May 2014

Consultancy Deloitte has introduced a solution aimed at simplifying private cloud deployment and accelerating its take up.

Cloud ServiceFabric uses VMware’s vCloud Suite to deliver pre-configured private cloud technology that is tested and ready to use. It comes pre-loaded with self-service automation tools, scripts and support.

Eric Openshaw, vice chairman, Deloitte, said: “Deloitte is offering a unique pre-configured private cloud capability that maximises internal IT resources while reducing implementation and operating costs.”

Cloud ServiceFabric is configured using Deloitte’s Cloud-Factory toolset which, in turn, allows for rapid reconfiguration of vCloud Suite to the user’s preferences. It says that using this approach means private clouds can be “deployed within weeks, with reduced costs and risk”.

“As organisations continue to realise the benefits of a software-defined data centre architecture, we are pleased to work closely with Deloitte to empower a diverse set of customers to rapidly deploy and scale a dynamic private cloud solution,” said Dan Smoot, senior vice president, Global Customer Operations, VMware.
